Getting Started with Your Mechanical Watch

1. Wake it up — Give the watch a gentle swing for about 5 seconds to get the movement going.
2. Set your time — Pull the crown out and rotate clockwise to the correct time.
3. Wind it — Push the crown back in, then turn clockwise until you feel slight resistance — usually 10 to 15 turns. Don't force it past that point to keep the movement running smoothly.
